Quality Policy of the Postgraduate Program

The Quality Policy of the Postgraduate Program (MSc) aligns with the Quality Policy of the University of Thessaly (Approval: 320th Senate Meeting, 24-01-2025) and the Quality Policy of the Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences.

The Department of Nursing’s policy is made publicly available and communicated to all stakeholders so that academic and administrative staff, as well as students, assume responsibility for quality assurance in accordance with their respective roles.

Specifically, the Department of Nursing is committed to offering its students a high-quality education and to promoting knowledge and research in the fields related to the MSc “Advanced Nursing Practice.” The Department is also committed to fulfilling its educational and research mission following ethical principles, addressing societal needs, fostering a free academic environment, conducting high-level research, ensuring that teaching staff meet the highest possible standards for teaching and research, and promoting a culture of collaboration with national and international academic and research institutions.

The Department of Nursing is committed to implementing a quality policy that supports the academic identity and orientation of the Study Program. It sets, applies, and monitors quality objectives, defines the means, actions, and methods to achieve them, and implements appropriate internal and external quality assurance procedures with the ultimate goal of continuous improvement.

To implement the Quality Policy of the MSc program, it is essential to apply quality procedures that ensure:

  • Continuous improvement of the quality of the Curriculum, as well as the educational, research, and administrative work.

  • The appropriateness of the structure and organization of the MSc curriculum.

  • The achievement of learning outcomes and qualifications following the European and National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education.

  • The integration of teaching and research, taking into account labor market needs.

  • The development of an Alumni Network for the MSc in “Advanced Nursing Practice” to enhance the identity and societal impact of the program.

  • The promotion of the quality and effectiveness of the teaching process.

  • The advancement of the quality and quantity of research output by the academic staff involved in the MSc.

  • The appropriateness of the qualifications of the teaching staff.

  • The provision of modern, high-quality, and digitally developed services.

  • The implementation of the annual internal evaluation of the MSc program within the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), in collaboration with the Internal Evaluation Group (OMEA) of the Department of Nursing and the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of the University.
