Tuition Fees – Enrollment Fees
For their participation in the postgraduate program, graduate students pay tuition fees amounting to €2,250 for the entire duration of the program, which are paid in installments as follows:
- The tuition fees amount to seven hundred and fifty (750) euros per academic semester.
- Payment of tuition fees is made through the Special Account for Research Funds of the University of Thessaly.
- Tuition fees are paid in three equal installments at the beginning of each academic semester.
- It is possible to pay tuition fees in more than three installments, following a justified request by the postgraduate student and with the approval of the Coordinating Committee.
- Tuition fees are used by the Department of Nursing for all types of expenses required for the education of postgraduate students and the operation of the postgraduate program “Advanced Nursing Practice.”
Tuition Fee Exemption
Exempted from tuition fees are enrolled students of the postgraduate program “Advanced Nursing Practice” who meet financial or social criteria and excellence requirements during their first cycle of studies, according to current legislation.
The total number of students who attend free of charge may not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the total enrolled students per academic year.
Applications for exemption from tuition fees are submitted after the completion of the student admission process in the postgraduate program and within a timeframe specified by the program itself.
Those who receive scholarships from other sources or citizens of countries outside the EU are not eligible for exemption from tuition fees.
The evaluation of exemption criteria is conducted by the Assembly, which issues a justified decision accepting or rejecting the application.
If current legislation sets an age criterion, it is recommended, for reasons of good governance and equal treatment, that the birth date of students is considered as December 31 of their birth year.
Scholarships
Scholarships of excellence are provided to postgraduate students who achieve a final grade in their Postgraduate Diploma (D.M.S.) equal to or greater than 8.50 (excellent), provided that the thesis or part thereof has been published in a recognized international scientific journal relevant to the postgraduate program, indexed in PubMed, and with an impact factor above 2.5 (IF≥2.5).
The scholarship amount is one thousand (1,000.00) euros. Scholarships are not granted if the postgraduate student already receives a scholarship from another source.
Scholarships are not granted to students admitted to the program without the obligation to pay tuition fees.
